Abortion Abortion clinics exist to end pregnancy. women attending abortion clinics are pregnant and do not want to be. when attending the abortion clinic there is some counselling and the woman is given a number of leaflets to take away read through and help her decide whether to end the pregnancy or not. The woman is also scanned to check that she is indeed actually pregnant to start with and that it is a normal pregnancy, not an emergency like a ectopic pregnancy.
